High Reflective Performance
There are three types of lighting systems for open plan offices: direct light, indirect light, and mixed light. There are advantages and disadvantages to any form of lighting, but in open plan spaces or similar environments, indirect light has clear advantages over the other two. Indirect lighting systems provide a softer light, create a more comfortable atmosphere in the workspace, and are energy efficient.

Kente ceiling tiles' Enhanced Reflectivity products are available with up to 90% reflectivity.


High Reflective Performance


Reflectivity is the ability of the object to reflect light.

High reflectivity scene, such as white or light-colored scenes; Low reflectivity scene: black objects do not reflect light. Reflective ability is high reflectivity scene, such as white snow reflectivity of 98%: reflective ability is weak low reflectivity scene, such as carbon black reflectivity is 2%.

Reflectivity is the measure of an objec's ability to reflect light and is synonymous with reflectance. High reflectivity objects, such as those with bright or light colors, have strong reflective properties.Conversely, low reflectivity objects, like black materials, reflect very little light. For example, white snow has a reflectivity of 98%, while carbon black has a reflectivity of only 2%.


High Reflective Performance


Direct lighting systems have high operating costs and can cause glare and light pollution.In contrast, the benefits of indirect lighting, including improving comfort and lower daily operating costs, far outweigh those of direct lighting.Indirect lighting offers the following advantages:

1.Brighter and more harmonious illumination, especially when combined with high-reflectance ceilings.

2. Lower operational and maintenance costs, with fewer fixtures needed to achieve the same level of brightness.

3. Less glare and lower contrast in shadows, helping to alleviate visual fatigue.


90% Reflectivity


Most Kente ceiling tiles have a reflectance of over 84% (as measured by ASTM reflectance tests, a value above 0.84 is considered high reflectance). This high reflectivity helps to create indirect lighting that reduces dullness, shadows, and glare, alleviates eye strain, and saves energy. By minimizing the number of fixtures and the power needed for the same level of illumination, it directly lowers lighting operating costs. This not only enhances work efficiency but also provides a more comfortable and pleasant visual environment.
